No. A host meets you at the beginning and end, while the walk itself is self-guided. Your personal web atlas provides directions, stories, puzzles, and support information.
Yes. Your web atlas shows the next required location, but you can stop for a meal, take a break, or explore nearby before continuing.
The experience is not automatically cancelled because of rain. If the lead guest tells us before kit handover and before the experience begins that the group will not start because of rain, you receive a full refund. If we cancel the experience, you receive a full refund. If you prefer, you can choose another available date or time instead of a refund.
Everyone plays on their own phone. Each guest receives an individual participant number. Bring a charged, compatible smartphone with a current browser and mobile data. If AR is unavailable, you can use the 2D version to complete the essential steps.
Guests aged 18 or over may make their own booking and participate independently. High school students under 18 may book and participate without an accompanying adult once consent from a parent or legal guardian has been verified. For junior high school students and younger children, an adult guardian must make the booking and accompany them throughout the route.
Meet in front of Tsuruha Drug, across the pedestrian crossing from Yasaka Shrine’s West Gate. Please keep the shop entrance and pavement clear and gather where our staff directs you.
The route takes about three hours on foot and includes stone paving, slopes, and stairs. Some sections do not have a step-free alternative. You do not need to listen to audio or distinguish colours to complete the experience. If AR is unavailable, the essential steps can be completed using the 2D version.
